Founded by former NFL players with a passion for coaching and mentoring, Premier Athletes is more than just a training academy - it's a community dedicated to helping athletes reach their full potential both on and off the field.

Premier Athletes was born out of a desire to give back to the community and share the knowledge and expertise gained from years of professional sports experience. The journey began with Sly Johnson, a standout athlete who excelled in multiple sports during his high school years in Miami. Sly's dedication and talent earned him a full scholarship to Miami of Ohio, where he continued to shine as a football player. Despite facing setbacks like a career-threatening ACL injury, Sly's determination and resilience never wavered. He went on to play professionally for the Detroit Lions before returning to South Florida to pursue his true passion - coaching and mentoring young athletes.

Joining forces with Guerby Mertil, another former collegiate football player turned successful entrepreneur, Sly established Premier Athletes as a non-profit organization dedicated to providing student-athletes with the skills and fundamentals needed to compete at the highest level.
